  • Winex 2018 - Done and Dusted!

The DvF Team at Winex 2018

Winex 2018 has come and gone in the blink of an eye. From the 24th to the 26th of October we welcomed Nicola Tipping from Mullineux, Leon Coetzee of The Fledge & Co., Miles Mossop from Miles Mossop Wines, Martin Smith from Paserene, Dudley Wilson from Richard Kershaw Wines, Charla Haasbroek-Bosman from Sijnn and Gavin Bruwer Slabbert from B Vintners Vine Exploration Company to Jozi for the once a year exposition that is RMB Winex.

With thousands of visitors, it is Gauteng's largest wine show and an opportunity to showcase the very special wine producers we choose to work with. Held at the Sandton Convention Centre, we were delighted to see folks seek us out partly because of the fine wines and also to see what our alternative stand would look like this year.

It was terrific to see so many of our valued trade clients come along and we used the opportunity to showcase the newly launched Richard Kershaw Wines vintages, the Smuggler's Boot Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc and Martin Smith's The Shiner. For more on these wines contact your trade sales representative or Debi.

Last year, we hauled a caravan in but this year we chose to upcycle with the help of Rain Productions and some repurposed pallets. And of course, our poster did not go un-noticed. Thanks to everyone that recognised, photographed, tweeted and instagramed in order to win a case of wine! We are very blessed to be the home of 57 wines with a score of 90+ from Tim Atkin, MW (17 of which scored 95 or more) and as of today, 18 wines with a Platter Wine Guide Five Star rating.

Note the latest Platter results for the 2019 issue will be out on Monday the 5th of November.
